Karen Kingsbury and Kate
Hi,
For those of you who have followed my blog in the last couple of months have probably seen me post stuff about little Kate who has cancer. I was reading her mom's blog today and the Christian author Karen Kingsbury is going to be putting Kate in one of her fictional books in honor of Kate and her family. They are raising money to help with expenses the McRae family has had to endure. I dont personally read Karen Kingsbury books since I know alot of her books are really sad(let me know if there is one that is not and I will read it LOL) and I cant take it but I know there are some big fans out there. From what I read if you donate more then 100 dollars you get your name on the dedication page of the book that features Kate as one of her characters. Just thought I would mention this since I think it's so neat. What an impact this little girl has had in so many people's lives. God has given her so much strength to her and her family.

Light and Love
Hi ,
At CBS(community bible study) one of the gals in my group said something that really struck me and I thought I would share. We are reading the book of Luke this year and we just recently read Luke 8: 1-21. The bible verse we memorized this week was -In the same way,let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven-Matthew 5:16.
One of the gals shared when she meets or knows people that dont follow the Lord she wants to immediately get them to church somehow and get them right with God. But God spoke to her this week and put on her heart just to love these people and that it's up to the Holy Spirit to change the folks not us. Our job is to love them and like the verse says let your light shine and hopefully they will see and want what you have. I thought that was great and was true. I know I do that especially with ones that are close to me and I see them going down the wrong paths or no path at all. Just showing them love and praying for them is our job. It's hard to do though since you want to take control and just shake them"what are you doing!!!" LOL Anyways just wanted to share that little tid bit with you and hopefully it's something for you to think about as well or maybe just a good reminder.
